Society of Iranian-American Women for Education

The Society of Iranian-American Women for Education (SIAWE) is a nonprofit charitable corporation dedicated to expanding educational access and opportunity throughout Houston, TX and across Texas. Operating under a volunteer board of directors, SIAWE provides comprehensive scholarship support to qualified undergraduate and graduate students attending colleges and universities throughout the state. With over 21 years of active service, the organization has distributed scholarships to 850 recipients across 11 schools, demonstrating a sustained commitment to removing financial barriers to higher education.

SIAWE's primary service focuses on identifying and supporting Texas students in good academic standing who possess the motivation and ability to succeed but lack the financial resources to pursue their educational goals. The organization manages nine endowments specifically designed to provide sustainable scholarship funding across various degree programs. Beyond direct financial assistance, SIAWE organizes informative and educational seminars that serve the broader Houston community, creating opportunities for professional development and academic enrichment.

The organization also operates a Young Professionals program designed to equip newcomers to the workforce with competitive advantages in their respective fields.
